How did you come up with the idea for your business? What was that moment of inspiration for you?

For me in my last business it was my son and wanting to use eco-friendly nappies (diapers).

For my client Laura of Snotty Noses (how COOL is that business name?), it was her sick baby.

She bought a really cool gadget to help her sick baby to be able to breathe and sleep, and it worked exceptionally well.

In fact, the product was such an ingenious gadget that she just fell in love with it and decided to start a business to sell it!

How One Mum Grew Her Online Sales By 600%

She KNEW that every parent with a sick child would want this product.

So she started her business, first selling the products on eBay and then graduating to her first website.

The first couple of years, her business was quite small and ran from her dining room table.

Once her children were old enough to be in kindergarten and school, she decided to devote more time to growing her business.

At first, she spent hour upon hour watching free webinars and reading blogs and websites.

But she found most of the information available was tailored to service based businesses.

Plus, it wasn’t so easy piecing together a bit of advice from here, there and everywhere into a strategy that worked for her business.

At that point, Laura admits she felt really stuck and didn’t know what to do next.

But learn she did…

And this year has seen INCREDIBLE sales growth – 600% to be exact! And that’s within about 7 months!

Some key take-outs

Laura has been incredibly generous with sharing her insights about her transformation.

1. Investing in your own knowledge and in your business’ growth is hands down the best money you can spend.

Without taking this step, Laura would not have developed the skills she needed in order to grow her sales.

Certainly not to have realised the incredible level of growth in such a short time!

2. Nailing a strategy to direct quality traffic to your website is THE most important factor in selling online.

I mean, no website traffic = no sales at the end of the day!

Laura learned a highly effective Facebook ad strategy that consistently and predictably generates traffic and sales on her website.

3. Harnessing the power of email marketing is way more effective at driving sales than she’d ever realised.

Actually, most small business owners are still in the dark on this one.

They believe that sending out an email newsletter once every month or so (when you think about it or find the time!) will do the trick.

Now, Laura has mastered email marketing so that it drives sales for her every single day.

Automating her email marketing is now like the backbone of her online business.

She’s achieved the holy grail of generating consistent traffic to her website and converting those website visitors into paying customers.

All on autopilot!
